Step into Transcendence - an experience frozen in time, one that merges the energy of youth with the quiet power of transformation. Set within a zen-garden dreamscape this show is more than just an exhibition - it's a threshold.
Each piece in this space has been created by LaGuardia High School seniors standing at the edge of change, caught in that electric moment between what was and what's coming next. College, adulthood, independence - this is their collective inhale before the leap into life. The theme of transcendence pulses through the work; stories of breaking boundaries, letting go, growing up, and stepping beyond comfort zones. The exhibition design mirrors this duality - severe and chaotic, soft moss and cracked concrete - echoing the tension and beauty of transition.
Transcendence invites you to linger in the in-between, to feel what it means to evolve. To witness young artists carve their futures in real time.

Curatorial Class Mentor: Bobbi Salvör Menuez
These students participated in a twelve week curatorial practicum at ELM Foundation. During this time, they learned to develop a curatorial rationale, create a budget proposal, execute and install their exhibition design, and manage an ambitious checklist. In addition, the seniors met with exhibiting artists as well as took a very productive field trip to Materials for the Arts where they sourced much of the material used in the exhibition design.
